Not updates for a while, huh? I've been still working at the kindergarten, I will stay there until the end of year. ^^ Not problems there, actually almost each day something funny or nice happens. x)

I got a call from the employment office lady today. She said that she had called to the library but she didn't yet know if I could get there or not. She said that there's these umm... things (I really don't know what they are in English xD) going on, anyway, the point is that if some of the library's workers gets fired, it means also no trainees there. :/ I don't quite understand why they can take trainee if they all can KEEP their jobs but not when someones goes. I don't know about this kind of things at all. xD Social studies lessons were boooring as you know...
So, the lady asked me if I wanted to wait and know if I get there or not or think of another place right away. I answered that I'd like to get to the library if I just can, so she said that it should be clear in the end of the month or so and she told me to come meet her 3rd September (unless she calls me before that). I'm free for a couple of weeks then. xD Besides, that means I'm able to watch world championships athletics. ^^ They are held in Osaka this year! :D
Hanne also told me today that the art teacher had asked about me and when she heard that I didn't go to any school yet she asked Hanne if I had a job. Hanne said no since she didn't know about me trying to get to the library and the teacher said she will keep me in mind if she needs assistant again sometime! ^^ Of course I can't do that if I go to work but it was nice to know anyway she would be willing to take me there again. :D Another thing Hanne told me: her biology/geography teacher (who was also my teacher) keeps calling her Katja. xD I'm remembered, lol.

Drawing is so fun, I was drawing a lot today. I should scan some new pics (like lovely pic of Hikaru and Miyuki, H. has cat ears/tail and M. bunny ears/tail. :D) but the scanner is a bitch as always and I should install the drivers again or something to get it scan. -__-
But, I'm off to play Trickster. :D

Hardback, trade paperback or mass market paperback?
Hmm, I seriously don't know. Hardcovers are more enduring but paperbacks are more convenient to keep in hand and read... So both. xD

Barnes & Noble or Borders?
No such things here.

Bookmark or dog-ear?
Always bookmark, never ever dog-earing! Remember that if I ever l lend you a book!

Amazon or brick and mortar?
Suomalainen Kirjakauppa. And random sale bookstores which I loooove. You can get loads of great books with little money in those!

Alphabetize by author or alphabetize by title or random?
I arrange my books by size and series and by my liking of the books. I have three shelves in my bookshelf (too little for me!!!), on the first shelf (counting from up to down) are biggest books (not by the thickness but by the height of the book) and also my favourites. Middle shelf is for middle height books, here are some of my favourites, like Tolkien's books but less than on first one. Last shelf is for great paperbacks (like Rei Shimuras and Memoirs of Geisha) and manga/manhwa. I have other manga in the bookshelf except Inuyasha, which takes too much space when there are 22 books currently and number is rising. I've yet to think any good place for Inus, I need good place for them.
Yeah, and series are naturally in one place but if I have books by same author but which aren't from same series, they may not be in the same shelf, it depends on the height of the book. ^^

Keep, throw away, or sell?
Keep, always keep! If I don't like some book, it can hidden in the attic or storehouse etc. but I won't sell/throw my books away. Only books which I haven't kept are Barbie and other children's picturebooks. I have my horse books and everything. You never know if you one day want to re-read some old book. :)

Keep dust jacket or toss it?
Keep, why would you want to keep your books looking boring and throw those away?

Read with dust jacket or remove it?
Remove it, put it wait on shelf and put back after finishing the book. I don't want to ruin the paper covers, I want my books look good. And it's annoying to read with the dust jacket on, it slips all the time.

Short story or novel?
I read more novels but short stories are nice too. I'd go for novels though.

Harry Potter or Lemony Snicket?
Exposure: never read either of them. xD Except a bit of Potter. But, I don't like Potter that much (movies are alright, third was even good but I don't like Harry. And I just don't care for Potter scene very much). For Lemony Snicket, I don't know much about that, so can't say.

Stop reading when tired or at chapter breaks?
When tired, I don't read one chapter at time or something like that.

"It was a dark and stormy night" or "Once upon a time"?
Hmm, maybe I'd go for "dark and stormy night".

Buy or borrow?
I'd like to get good books as my own but books are quite expensive, so I usually borrow from library. Actually, ideal thing: I read the book borrowed from library, then if it's good, buy it.

New or used?
New, others haven't ruined them yet. xD I could buy used too, if it was in good shape or if it was some book that's hard to get or very old. For example, I'd buy Watership Down new or used or whatever, as long as it still had all pages and covers. ^^

Buying choice: book reviews, recommendations, or browse?
Recommendations, I think. I could get some interesting looking book too, even if I hadn't ever heard of it. But usually I buy books that I've already read by borrowing or just if they are interesting for some reason.

Tidy ending or cliffhanger?
Everything is okay, it depends on a book. I liked open ending of Twilight (by Stephanie Meyer) even though it just left me waiting for more which can be also annoying. But usually tidy endings are good I think.

Morning reading, afternoon reading, or nighttime reading?
All time reading! xD Any time of the day is fine for me. ^^ I like reading before going to bed, that's at least one time in a day when I get reading a book. But usually I read lots of during the day too.

Stand-alone or series?
Hmm... I usually read series, since fantasy books are many times written in epic and big sagas or trilogies etc. But both are fine.

Favorite series?
Oooh, which I should pick? At least Rei Shimura mysteries by Sujata Massey. And from fantasy stuff, at least R.A. Salvatore's and Elaine Cunningham's series. And... Artemis Fowl... Can't think of anything else now. xD

Favorite children's book?
What's counted as children's book here? xD Dunno...

Favorite YA book?
Does that mean young adult? Or what? *blush* Does Artemis Fowl go to this series? If does, then that. Or if it goes to children's book, then put it there and leave this open. xD I'm bad at judging who should read which book.

Favorite book of which nobody else has heard?
Lol, not easy question... I could name almost any fantasy book and most of my friends wouldn't have heard of it, probably. Or then I could name some Finnish book but I read very little Finnish books... I don't know. :S

Well, my all time favourites are for example Tolkien's books, or Watership Down by Richard Adams. At least I understood this that which books I've loved for long and still love... Besides, I'm too lazy to think of which kind of books where in and when. xD

Elaine Cunningham's Daughter of the Drow. Forgotten Realms stuff. ^^ Drows, yay!

Nope.

Me and Iina in Linnanmäki and a bit of Helsnki behind. It was a bit rainy day but it rained only when we went there, rest of the day was rainless but cloudy.

Hello! I'm back and I had really fun. :D

On Monday, we went to Iina's, she's the person I called Tuulikki's cousin in the earlier entry but I found out she's not her cousin: Tuulikki and Iina's mother are cousins. Anyway, she was totally different than I had expected, she was talkative, funny and open, it was easy to be with her, especially when we had common interests: Japan, manga, anime and video games (Final Fantasy and Diablo and generally roleplaying things) etc. ^^ Somehow I had a feeling she would be shy and childish but she was great. :)
On Tuesday morning we actually left towards Helsinki. Person in charge of the trip was also something different we thought: I thought we get some rather boring adult as "leader" but he was young (adult yes, but young) but responsible, really nice and cute! xD Other people on the trip were okay, we didn't much speak to them or anything. On Tuesday, after arriving in Helsinki, we went shopping to Itäkeskus. We had too little time though but that was fine because on Thursday we would have another shopping trip to another mall. I bought three CDs (Kate Bush's Sensual World, Tori Amos' Under the Pink [I have now all Tori albums as real copies] and Enya's Amarantine) and Special Extended Edition of The Return Of the King. :D
Whole Wednesday was for Linnanmäki, the amusement park. ^^ It was great!!! It's about 9 years or so since I was there. We tried everything except some children's amusements and the newest thing because there had been some problems with it, so we skipped it (and also we didn't try every game and such but the main amusements). And we got Tuulikki to ferris wheel even though she's afraid of heights. xD I bought cute raccoon soft toy there. :)
On Thursday we left but before starting the journey back, we went to another mall called Sello. It was great. I bought four books (there was this AWESOME bookshop were items were much cheaper than in normal bookshop. My four books were only 24 € total) and two computer games (awesomely cheap ones too: LOTR: the Battle For Middle-Earth for 10 € and Dragonshard for 3 €!!!). ^^ SUGOI!!!
Like I said, the trip was really nice and I found a lot of nice stuff for little money. :D I love sales. Didn't got any clothes because I don't really need anything now and current fashion is quite horrible. >.< I could've bought jeans from one shop but then I thought "naah" and didn't get them.
I came home today and not on Thursday because we came so late home, I just went to Tuulikki's. Originally we should've gone to Iina's but then Tuulikki's dad came to pick up us and we went to her place.

I will post photos as soon as I get them, Tuulikki isn't online now, I will put her to send them when she comes. ^^

I also watched Howl's Moving Castle today, Tuulikki bought it. It was good. Hauru (Howl) is LOVELY!!! :D And btw, those two games I bought, they both seem so awesome, I tried both a bit today. :)

I'm gonna go to short vacation on Monday, so I won't be around during that week. I'll come to on Friday. Actually the trip itself is just from Tuesday to Thursday but I will leave already on Monday. You see, Tuulikki's mom asked Tuulikki if she wants to take part in that trip to Helsinki (includes shopping day and amusement park day). Tuulikki cousin is going there, so I guess a little backthought was that she would be as company to her. And Tuulikki asked me too, she wouldn't have probably gone without me since it's some arranged trip, we pay for it, it's not family trip.
So, because the bus leaves from the town Tuulikki's cousin lives (maybe 20 or 25 km from here), early in the morning, Tuulikki and I are going to her cousin's on Monday and because we come so late on Thursday, we are going to sleepover there also then.
Only "problem" right now is, that we were supposed to get letters about the trip (we got places on the trip only because some people had cancelled their places) but they haven't come yet. -__- You'd think they would've put them to post asap but I guess no. Well, if they don't come tomorrow, Tuulikki said she calls her cousin and asks about it. We don't even know where to pay our trip. >.<

Otherwise, not much news except I got to be co-mod in a music sharing community called forloveofmusic ^^

Yay, off to play Trickster, greeeeat MMORPG I've started to play a little while ago. ^^ My character is already on level 26.

Nightwish has revealed the name (which is Dark Passion Play) and cover of the new album, as well as tracklist. And that the next single which will be released in August is Amaranth. There's a cover art for it too. Squeee!!
I think the single cover is beautiful!! The album cover is nice but is worse than any NW album cover art I think. At least with this first glance. Album name is good. :D
Tracklist... it has some interesting names, like Amaranth, The Poet and the Pendulum (btw, 14 min song as opening, whoa!), Meadows of Heaven, For The Heart I Once Had.... One song title sounds very un-nightwish: Bye Bye Beautiful. xD Anyway, cool news, nee??!!

Yup, been listening to some WT lately, The Heart of Everything album. ^^ I didn't get into the album as easily as into Mother Earth or The Silent Force. The Heart of Everything has same kind of sound as TSF but it hasn't got that something that TSF has. But now I've listened to more and started to like it more and more. It's not as good as ME or TSF though.

Lifewise (hmm, creating new words is fun, nee?) nothing really happens... Except I've been visiting employment office a couple of times. I was supposed to go there today but they were closed and I got to know that they are always closed on Thursday and Friday. And I was last time told to come on Thursday. Apparently they haven't learned their new opening hours yet, lol. I have no idea what's going to come out of that, I just went to visit there because I had to. We'll see what happens... Might be I get some work. Or then I don't. I'd like to enjoy summer, so I kinda hope all eager summer jobbers have gone and taken all places and I won't get anywhere just yet. xD Because when I'm living still with parents, I don't have instant need of money. Especially now when I got some money for the graduation.

Newest Inuyasha was in the shop, it's book 21. Haha, it was great. I love Miroku. xD I like all the main characters but I love when Miroku gets little pervy. xD Fushigi Yuugi 4 wasn't there yet, sniff. Maybe tomorrow. ^^

Namie Amuro ~ Hide & Seek
Her newest song, from album Play that's not released yet. I love Namie Amuro, especially her Queen of Hip-Pop album. I like that dancy and cathcy pop mixed with R'n'B and hip hop. And I like Namie's voice, it's nicely mature but a bit of girly too. This is cathcy song, gets you groove a bit.

Velcra ~ My Law
Another song from this cool band. I gave a bit of outdated info last time though, they are not duo anymore, they have gotten more band members when I wasn't looking. xD So, this is fast song, industrial metal with some electronic influences and with raw vocals of Jessi. Try this!

Velvet Acid Christ ~ Pretty Toy
Gothic industrial rock, or something like that. I found this American gothic band (which is actually one person with changing band members and session musicians, some band members have been more real members and others just live players etc. Yay, more one-man-bands, like Nine Inch Nails and Razed in Black.) through fan video of some j-rock band, maybe it was Malice Mizer. This song was playing in it and I liked it a lot. But I couldn't find this song or the album it was on, just other songs. But now I've got it. :D Yay!

Gackt ~ Returner ~Yami no Shuuen~
New Gackt song, yay! This is just PV rip I think but quality is good. It's proved Gackt quality with his awesome vocals that make you melt. x) This song reminds me a bit of some other song of his, especially that flute but right now I don't remember which song that is. >.<

Agnes ~ Closed The Gates
She's new Finnish artist (well, she's actually from Poland but lives in Finland with his husband and I don't remember did she have some Finnish relatives or how it was but it doesn't matter), she loves 80s heavy metal and has made an album in that spirit (she doesn't write her own songs at least yet but don't let that bother you!!!). I chose this song because it's written by Sonata Arctica's Tony Kakko!! It's a good song. :D Of course, hahaa. And okay, want to know why she's in the music business? She was in Idols, she was 4th. But don't let that bother you either, she's the best thing of all those Idols people!

My graduation party was on Saturday. At first, at school was the ending thingy of the school year where we got our testimonials and people kept speeches and some prizes were given. I got two!! :D I got a watch and a check worth of 50 euros. Yay!
At home some relatives and close people came over. It was okay, people mostly spoke to each other and not so much with me. It was just fine with me. xD Tuulikki and Malaika came too. I got money from everyone but three persons, hehe. Well, I'm not complaining, I can get something *nice* myself. And Malaika gave me the most lovely handbag, it's purple and furry, I love it!!!
Last few days I've been spending with Tuulikki. At first I was at her place and then she came here. ^^ We've been playing a lot of badminton and PS2, LOTR: The Third Age game. It's very good game! :D And also, Tuulikki's family bought a trampoline, we jumped a lot of course. ^^

I'm not very familiar with this band but they seem to be good, Beautiful is kickass song. This is good too. The singer (female) has pretty voice. Somewhat Kidneythieves-like music. This band is not together anymore. Hmm, this song was better than I remembered! *Note to self: look for more of Joydrop's music*

Prodigy ~ Firestarter
You all probably know this. Or at least you should. I like this song a lot! Cool techno effects, bouncy and noicy. Lyrics are simple but sometimes the music is the main thing.

Velcra ~ Not Against Me
Velcra is a cool band, they are Finnish duo, female fronted rock/metal, I'm not sure which genre they wish to belong. Jessi sings both clear vocals and screaming ones, it's not growling actually, not like Arch Enemy but more like "angry-rock-chick-scream". Hmm, just listen! Good guitars too. :D
I want to have more Velcra's music. I like them a lot.

Nirvana ~ You Know You're Right
One of my favourites by Nirvana. I like Kurt's lazy and rocking vocals in this. Well, you know Nirvana, you know it's good or if you don't, try this song out! :D

ABBA ~ S.O.S. and Mamma Mia
And now to totally different music after that rock period. Abba has some songs I like a lot. This is not my favourite but catchy enough. Girls have pretty voices. Hmm, what else can I say? Nice keyboards, yup. Catchy. Go for it. xD
Oh, another Abba song. Okay. Mamma Mia is even more catchy. Much better than S.O.S.

Red Hot Chili Peppers ~ Under The Bridge
"Back to rock" thinks my WMP. Alright, that's fine with me. :D Don't you just love Anthony's vocals? He has such a cute accent. This is a slower song and very pretty. I luuuv the end of this song.

Ace of Base ~ Life is A Flower
Hmm, back to pop. Ace of Base had some hits in the 90s, this is some of their later hits. This is a catchy song, not anything super great but I tend to collect songs that bring nostalgia. :D I liked this song a lot when I was something like 10 or 11...

Scarling ~ The Last Day I Was Happy
I like Jack Off Jill but I haven't listened to much of Scarling, just a couple of songs. *Note to self: get more Scarling's music* Noicy guitars.

I've got pretty new dress

I was looking for dress today with my mom and aunt. Mom and I went shopping on Saturday but none of the clothes shops we went had anything good: either they didn't have dresses at all or then they were really horrible or totally overpriced. So because shopping mall disappointed, we went today to Raahe, town near here. And ta-dah, the first shop we entered had many dresses and not even too expensive! I picked up three best and tried them on and had big problems deciding which one to take, every one of them had good sides: one was blue and princess-y, one was red and white and had lace in the hem. And the one I took: it's black with white flower embroidery, it's about knee lenght (a bit over knee) and strapless (it has straps with it, so I could put them there if I wanted but I don't. And I don't need to worry it will fall, it's so tight). I love it. :D
Besides getting the dress (which I didn't pay myself naturally xD) I got four books. They were paperbacks and three of them were in sale, so I got them all. xD Three Rei Shimura books (first, second and sixth) and Dan Brown's Angels & Demons. ^^ I just loooove books. :D And even though hard cover books are more enduring, I like paperbacks. Finnish paperbacks are printed on nice, smooth paper, English paperbacks are many times printed on stiffer but worse paper.

I did a quick visit to Malaika's grandmother Maila after we came from shopping. She had sent me card for my graduation but since she was in neighbor (it's her house but she has another one elsewhere, in this neighbor house lives sometimes she or some of her children or other relatives, no one lives there permanently though), she asked me to come over (another reason was that when she had written the cards and checks, she remembered she forgot to sign one of them, she wanted to check if my check was the one she forgot to sign, it wasn't.). So, I went. It was really nice to see her, she's one of the sweetest persons in the world, she's like third grandmother for me (which is cool because both of my real grandmothers are dead.). I've known her as long as I've known Malaika, naturally, that's 9 years. o_O I haven't seen her in ages because she's always in Malta at the winter but now she's back in Finland, she had come back in the end of last month.

We bought loads of food today... my party will be small but food is needed, so we bought lots of food. And now mom is puzzled because she doesn't know which dish to use for the punch (we don't have real punch bowl nor any other big bowl but surely she comes up with something). We also reserved photographer for Saturday... but because many others had been faster than us, we got time for the morning, 8:30 am. And the school's party will be 12:00 and party here at home 14:00 pm.

So, that's everything for now, my week will be full for party preparations. Oh, and I chose pink champagne and punch glasses. xD And my invite card was also pink. Heheh. I will pink the world!!!

The art work I mentioned in the older entry, I got it back. I got 4 of it, the 1 is the worst and 5 is the best (for some reason the art diploma's grades are from 1 to 5 when usually upper secondary school uses scale 4-10). ^^ I'm happy. And the teacher said that my portfolio of the work was great, worth of 5 but because the work itself wasn't quite, the final grade is 4. But I like the work myself, that's the most important, got I good or bad grade. ^^

My aunt can't come on Friday as was planned, she comes on Tuesday but we probably go to buy a dress for me anyway on Saturday, even though mom had planned that she, my aunt and I would go to get a dress together on Saturday.

I like Sujata Massey's books so much. :D I've had the 5th Rei Shimura book in the bookshelf for ages but I haven't read it because I haven't read the 4th one but yesterday, when I saw the newest Rei Shimura book in the library and I wanted to read it, I thought to read the The Bride's Kimono anyway. It's so good, I wouldn't want to put it down. :D

So, today's burning topic: Nightwish. I of course checked who's the new singer and I listened to Eva. It's better than I thought when hearing the sample. Anette is a good singer. I'm feeling a bit odd though, that is now Nightwish, without Tarja. It's even more true now when the boys aren't just secrectly planning and working in their base but there actually is a new singer. It's not that Anette wouldn't be good, she's great, the thing is that it's odd to think that as Nightwish. Even though the music and lyrics sounded very Nightwish of course. I will get used to that I guess. Aww, but Sleeping Sun is making me melancholic.

About passing the school and my art

Yup, today the info of the students that passed marticulation exams and will graduate from upper secondary school were put in the Internet. My name was there too. Not that I thought that I wouldn't pass the exams, I knew that I will pass maths which was the worst subject anyway, so... But sure it's cool to know for sure. Mom seemed to be pretty excited. She talked in the phone with her sister, she will come here next Saturday and they will put up the party for me. The graduation day is two weeks from this Saturday. Eek. Well, at least mom said that we will have small party with a few selected guests. And she said that I should design invitation cards that look like myself. I thought something about butterflies, roses etc. i.e. normal Katja stuff. :D And we will buy me a new dress too, lol, the part I'm waiting for most. Hahah... I want some super pretty dress!
Only thing that may be uncomfortable in the party is that people are SURELY asking what I am gonna do now and truth is that I don't have any idea, haven't had earlier and I'm still clueless. I will keep year off of schools and go to work or something and think about that, maybe something comes up. And explaining that to everyone... Argh. They are surely waiting everything fancy and great from me. Argh. As an example, when I had had my final math exam, my uncle was visiting us and he asked how that went. He probably thought I will get very good grade of that. But nope, I'm not math person, I think being good at subjects like languages (for me it's English of course) and psychology, religion, history etc. is much more important. Yes, the world needs good mathematicians but I'm not one of them. Besides, for example psychology gives you much more help in real life than math! I think psychology is one of the best subjects taught at school. Anyway, before taking that little side road, I was saying that I hate when people seem to wait so much from me. I sort of feel good showing off them that I'm not living as they expect me to live. Ha!
Well, I don't have yet the results of the exams, I will have to go to school to get them... Want to see those!

Another newsbit (lol, that can't be a word...) is that my art diploma work had been in a school's exhibition thingy! And there was a picture of my work in the local newspaper!! Woohoo! :D And it was the biggest photo of the article... Haha. There was works of elementary, secondary and upper secondary schools' students in the exhibition. I was just mentioned in the article, for that diploma thing, there was just said that I had taken part in that diploma thing and what's the use of that.
I haven't actually got that work yet back and I don't know even what grade I got for it! I went to school on Friday but the art teacher had had only two first lessons so she had already left. Sniff. Well, I have to try on Monday or some other day... I'm kinda dying to know what is said about that though!! x)

I realised today when I checked my LJ that I've had that black/pink layout for forever, so I decided to change my journal's style! Colourwise it's very different but butterflies and faeries are still along (they just go so well with my Dream Within theme!). I love my new style. :D It's like speck. Comments?

I should make some new icons too and maybe change them a bit, it get more fresh feeling to my journal. ^^

Yup, I have finally some new photos of me... They are taken at Tuulikki's room. My hair looks a bit odd in some of the photos because I have dyed it red (just the roots, rest black) but now it's really badly faded and is more like reddish-brown oddity...

Sweden didn't win, they were number 18!!! *cry* They were the best! I can't believe people didn't give more votes for sweet The Ark! >:( I just loved Ola's performance. Even we were ahead Sweden. Lol. Anyway, I think the winner wasn't that good this year, there would've been much better choises: i.e. Sweden, Bulgaria, Georgia or even Slovenia or Turkey. I can see why people liked Serbia's song but there would've been better ones.
About Finland... I think Hanna's performance was much better in Finland's qualifying contest. Now it was all "pain 'n tears" like, I understand she was performing along the lyrics of her song but naaah. But I would've thought it had done better than 17 'cause the song wasn't that bad and people could've given votes just because we were the host. Well, next year it's semi-finals first again and I fear this will start a new bad tube for Finland in Eurovision song contest. But I hope it won't.
The performance during the vote counting was great, Apocalyptica rules! ^^ And Jaana Pelkonen is wonderful, she's one of my favourite "TV faces" (along with Heikki Paasonen who was one of Finland's commentators). ^^
Sniff, me is off to listen to The Ark and then playing some Neverwinter Nights. <3

Title is totally random, it just relates to Tori's new album, American Doll Posse. It's a line from Smokey Joe, which is so fucking awesome. :D I've been listening to that A LOT for a couple of last days, the album rocks. While all the songs haven't yet fully hit me, others I loved right away and those songs that doesn't caught my attention first, will probably hit me later. There's no bad song though. ^^ Tori is love.

Tomorrow will be semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contents. Wohoo! Yes, I'm a big fan of Eurovision, think you people whatever about it. :P And the final on Saturday!

I've shopped shamelessly lately.... and used more money than couple of few months together. x) So, I've gotten a shirt, a top, three CDs (The 69 Eyes' Angels, Indica's Kadonnut Puutarha ("Lost Garden" for those poors who don't know Finnish) and of course Tori's American Doll Posse!), manga book (Yami no Matsuei aka Descendants of Darkness [I prefer Japanese name] volume 7), name pen, a book (Stephenie Meyer's Twilight, gonna praise it a bit later!), note book and folder (they match!)... Well, material girl I am, so me happy now.

Yes, that book, Stephenie Meyer's Twilight! I finally got it myself, I've read it before, I borrowed it once from the library and after that wished it for Christmas and birthday and never got it. Now it was on sale in a bookshop, so I bought it. <3 I LOVE THAT BOOK. So much that I could say it's my favourite. I know, that's something 'cause I've read loads of books, loads of amazing, great books, and I love them all so much... But something in this book makes me love it over others. I smile when I read that book and I don't mean that's when someone says something funny but just randomly, when a good part comes, I smile! I wouldn't want to put the book down but also I wouldn't want to read it so fast 'cause that means it's at the end sooner...
So, interested what's that about if I'm praising it so much? The main characters are called Bella and Edward. Bella moves from Phoenix to a little, rainy town called Forks. At the school she meets odd, beautiful people, the Cullens (two girls and three boys) who are avoided by the others. And to make long story short, Bella falls for Edward, youngest of the Cullens. And Edward shows interest towards Bella too... And then Bella comes to know the Cullens are vampires who have decided not to drink human blood and live among the humans. So, they fall in love but the relationship is a bit complex 'cause Edward is still a vampire and sometimes it's hard to resist human blood, especially Bella's which is sweeter than anything. But hey, he's strong and resists it and they have sweet time together. But more problems come from different direction than their relationship...
Heh, that was really tightened storyline but...
I love the way it's written, I love the characters (ohmygodedward!!!), the story, the scenery... Le sigh. I read that the sequel comes in Finnish in the autumn this year. Argh, why did I go and read that, I have to wait for forever. But, at least I know they are going to publish it, that would've been much worse of course if there wasn't plans for it. I could read it in English of course if I got it somewhere but I'd still want the Finnish edition anyway. And I read from the author's website that there's another sequel too and she's apprently writing more. At least she said she doesn't want to leave her characters. :D

And now we close the circle and I upload Smokey Joe, still remember? Awesome Tori song? Check it! The vocals and music are haunting, the chorus is especially gorgeous!

2) Tori Amos ~ Rattlesnakes
From her Strange Little Girls album which is cover album. All covers she chose for the album are written by men but she looks them from the feminine side. Every song is a girl, in the booklet Tori wears different make-ups, wigs and clothes for each song. This is one of favourites on the album. Soundscape is peaceful. But "girl needs a gun these days." Try it!

3) Tori Amos ~ Sleeps With Butterflies
More Tori! Tori is always good! Tori is love. :D Anyway, this is from her The Beekeeper album which is her second newest since todays came her newest album, American Doll Posse. This is good song, not the best on the album but every Tori song is great anyway. Soundscape is quite peaceful and mellow in a catchy way. Umm, get it? Even if you don't, try it!

4) Evanescence ~ Bring Me To Life
Okay, everyone reading this knows this song. Someone random who might get lost here, probably knows this too. Anyway, from Fallen, first single song and probably the one many heard as their first Ev song. I like this still even though some may have listened to this way too much. I love Ev. ^^

5) Madonna ~ Bedtime Story (edit)

6) Within Temptation ~ The Truth Beneath The Rose
From WT's new album, The Heart of Everything. I like this song but somehow I don't have yet proper opinion of this... It's a very good song yes, and maybe one of the best on album... Anyway, try it, if you haven't heard, nice choir, Sharon's singing is good and all. :D

More Madonna! Good! She has great music, I like more of her older stuff, i.e. Music and everything before that but that's not point (and she has good songs on American Life and Confessions on a Dancefloor too). Swim is great song, from Ray of Light album which is absolutely my favourite album along with Like A Prayer. I love lyrics for this song. Music is kinda mysterious... Try it!

So, our scanner sucks, it's actually combined printer/copy machine/scanner but the scanner part has some problem and refuses to work most of the time. Today I decided to fight with it a bit, and the result: I scanned some of my newer drawings! Woot. :D

I put some of them here, if you want to take a look. I wrote something about them because I JUST LOVE TO COMMENT THINGS LIKE THAT. ;)

Okay, that's quite recent "proper" drawing. That's coloured with watercolours. ^^ And, they are Hikaru and Miyuki, characters of my manga story. :D I don't actually have a pic of them in their normal clothes because the original sketches I made aren't that great, so I didn't scan them at all. I love the colouring in this pic and also Hikaru's wings!! <3 And the random red band around them. It looks here okay but I don't draw that sharp noses anymore (I haven't drawn manga for so long, so I'm still a bit searching for the good style). But, I love this pic anyway!!!
Oh, the paper is a bit rumpled 'cause it's coloured with watercolours, don't care about that.

Yups, another drawing of them. Dressed in gothic clothes this time. :D I just love drawing them different outfits. Yeah, they don't dress like that every day. I love Miyuki's skirt, I'd like to have one myself. x) This is coloured with pencils which are tool that I usually use for colouring, that watercolour one above is an exception really. And yes, I have a drawing of them where they are on different sides of paper. xD I love this pic as well (even though it has its own flaws too but much less than some pics).

An attempt to draw Arina Tanemura style eyes (she's my favourite mangaka!). This pic has shameless copying but it was to test things out. But I like it. Like you've already noticed, I rarely draw backgrounds... I suck at it and I don't want to ruin my pics with them, so I just draw people. I'd like to do that more but I'm lazy... Forgive me. I should practice that more.

Background! Sort of. This is old drawing, just compare the faces to first Hikaru & Miyuki drawing. But even though I don't draw quite like that anymore, I like this picture. Yeah, don't ask how they are breathing underwater, why they are naked or anything. Enjoy the art. Or scroll to next one.

Back to that style... This is a newer drawing. As you can see the girls have names. They are characters for my other story... Which I haven't drawn, just planned. But I wanted to draw the girls (and that gave me a reason to draw pretty dresses!! They will be wearing dresses in the story...) and see what they look like. Haven't coloured this one because I'm lazy and because that way you can see the little stuff (like lace in Aimee's dress) better.

Yeah, I know it's not finished! >.< I've been extremely lazy with colouring again... And I've sorta forgotten this was not finished... Anyway, they are just random girls I drew. Tuulikki always says who the pink haired looks like crazier one, the one that persuades the other one to something which can get the in trouble. She looks bossy yeah. I love the outfit of the red haired.

One more... I would have more but I guess you've gotten enough for now. So, Iceman (from left: Daisuke Asakura, Michihiro Kuroda, Kenichi Ito) chibis! One of the first Japanese band I started to like. Here they have their Crazy Jet PV outfits, I just love Michihiro's outfit in that video!!! Okay, Ken is shaking his leg because he does it a lot on the stage. Not quite like that like I've drawn but anyway! I just love this pic too. :D Haven't I written and coloured "Iceman" in a cool way?!

Oh, I didn't put many boys there, gomenasai... I have drawn them too. I have cute merman and boy who's kinda girlish but has cool hair etc... Maybe next time. ;)

Crappy title but it doesn't matter! Because I was bored while waiting for some downloads to come, I decided to put my player on shuffle and upload whatever are the ten first songs it gives me. Note, it gives a bit limited picture of my music because my Media Library doesn't have songs I've downloaded (Except for some songs).
Here we go, I put my thoughts along.

1) [Sheryl Crow ~ Safe And Sound]
Lovely song. One of the best on her C'mon C'mon album I think. I love the end part, it just sounds so awesome. I like the lyrics too. Sheryl's voice is very powerful in the end.

2) [Alanis Morissette ~ Mary Jane]
Good song too, not my favourites on Jagged Little Pill but I like it now more than I used to. And reminds me of Spiderman, his girlfriend/wife/whatever she currently is for him (it's longish time I read Spidey last time) because her name is Mary Jane.

3) [t.A.T.u. ~ 30 Minutes (remix)]
Not as good as the regular version but still decent song. I didn't at first like 30 Minutes so much but as I listened to 200 km/h In The Wrong Lane more, I began to like the song. Pretty slow song.

4) [Sheryl Crow ~ Maybe That's Something]
Oh, WMP loves Sheryl I think. From her The Globe Sessions album. Whole album had to grow on me but now I like it a lot. This is one of the songs that I liked right away, mid tempo song, kinda one that makes you want to jam along. Lol. Did that sound bad? This is a good song!

5) [Marilyn Manson ~ Coma Black: Eden Eye/The Apple Of Discord]
You know Marilyn Manson. This is a good song too! I never remember this song but when I hear it I think "hey, this is a good song too!" From the album Holy Wood: In The Shadow of Valley of Death. Not the top favourites of mine but good anyway! Slower song.

6) [Hans Zimmer ~ Idyll's End]
From The Last Samurai soundtrack. What a wonderful soundtrack! No wonder NW's Tuomas like Zimmer's works. This is beautiful, calm but sad song with powerful end.

7) [t.A.T.u. ~ Show Me Love [Extended version)]
Ah, besides Sheryl, WMP loves t.A.T.u.! This is great song, I think Show Me Love is my number one favourite of their songs! Extended version is good too, I prefer the regular again tho. It's from the same album as 30 Minutes. Hmm, I just love girls' voices and lyrics of this song!

8) [Garbage ~ Queer]
Quite catchy song from their first, self-titled, album. Not my top favourites but I like it. Shirley Manson is great, she has got nice voice. For some odd reason they way she sings in this song makes me think of stretching cat. You know, a cat who has been sleeping on the couch and no decides to go and check maybe the food or mouses. Lol.

9) [Madonna ~ Bedtime Story (edit)]
Good, WMP picked up one of my favourite Madonna songs! Bedtime Story has awesome dreamy and odd music video too, btw! The edit version is from her GHV2 (Greatest Hits Vol 2) album, not very different to regular version. I like the images this song brings to my head. ^^ I like the lyrics too.

10) [Dido - Do You Have A Little Time]
I like some Dido songs a lot and others aren't that great but this is one that I like. It sounds a bit dramatic with the strings in the back. Her voice is kinda... haunting here I think. Very breathy too. From her Life For Rent album.

11) [Maija Vilkkumaa ~ Metsästäjä]
Okay, I had to take this along when this came after the Dido song... Finnish music! Maija is great! The song title means "hunter" and is kinda aggressive. From her newest album, Se Ei Olekaan Niin (It Isn't So) which isn't so new anymore but after that she has just released a best of album. Good song, try it!

Haha, I think this is a very odd mix but that's what you get with only eleven songs and with my big music collection!

I'm kinda tired, I was at school again, teaching I mean. And even though I was less nervous than last time, I couldn't get sleep. >_> But the day went well, better actually than last time, I think, at least I had much better feeling this time. And... the history teacher persuaded me to come as her substitute. So, I should keep some history lessons too. Umm, woot? I mean, keeping art lessons is easy but teaching history? I hope she will just write bunch of exercises for the students, so I don't need to actually do anything. Wahahahah.

And because I don't have much to do during the lessons, I draw a tiger today. :D I've always wanted to learn to draw tigers and there was this picture of tiger from different sides, so I used my time drawing that. ^^ It's just the tiger's face but I'm content with it.

I'm full of chocolate... Burp, all the Easter chocolate and then random chocolate I already had... Hahaha, not that I'm complaining but enough is enough. And, I've been playing Final Fantasy VI Advance version, I should now just play the extra stuff, the actual game is finished. ^^

Remember the job offer I told last time? Before the uploads post. I had first day at the school as substitute today. It was sort of teaching because I didn't need to much teach, just keep the order and tell them to continue what they were doing. Only one class started new assignment, they had to draw great horned owl, there was this stuffed/filled (however you say that... but I think you know what I mean...) one which I put as model for them. The roll table it was on was so unstable that I thought it was going to fall. x) But it didn't.
I kept five lessons, first was two lessons for 8th grade class (they had two lessons in row), that was the most horrible class, 'cause some of the boys didn't behave. But there was also Hanne and her friend, so familiar faces too. Third lesson was for 7th grade class, the great horned owl one. I thought they would be the most horrible from what Antti told me but they were okay. Some of the boys had so silly things to talk about that I had to hide my laugh many times. Last two lessons were for high school students, there I really didn't do anything but look after them because they knew what to do and where to take stuff etc.
Overall it was fine, I was a bit nervous in the morning but it got better along the day. ^^ And hey, I got to hang in the teachers' lounge which is usually distant dream (LOL) for students. There's huge difference in the teachers, some said good morning to me and asked me who I was assisting there and other looked just cranky with their coffee cups. But the ones greeting and talking to me made me feel good. ^^ Heh, there's this teacher whose name is Katja too, she's really nice and friendly. And one teacher whose name I didn't know (she is quite new and she hasn't kept lessons for me ever) was really nice too, asking me when I was leaving did I like it here "on the teachers' side" and so on.
And my art teacher called me today after the school day and asked me how did it go. And she said that after Easter is has probably some goings again, so she will call me then.

Random waah? Alright, that means just random stuff. I'm bad at updating this but I guess that's because nothing really exciting does happen.

Well, I had my birthday on 12th. I'm 19. ODD. I don't feel that old. Not that 19 is old but... Lol, I feel much younger. x)

I've been preparing and taking exams. Boooring. I just had psychology today, hopefully it went well. It had odd questions, lol. Besides that, Final Fantasy VIII. Wohoo. :D I've almost finished it, maybe I'll finish it today. Or tomorrow. ^^

And guess what my art teacher asked me today? I was waiting for the teachers come and start the exam when she walked pass me. She stopped and asked me if I had some job or something else in mind after the final exams. I said no and she asked would I be interested in being her substitute sometimes when she has meetings and other stuff when she can't keep the lessons. Yes, she offered me a job. O_o I said that could be nice and she said to leave my phone number after the exams so she can contact me. I thought that could really be alright thing to do since I don't have anything after the exams and it would be only every now and then. And keeping an art lesson is something totally different that keeping a maths lesson. Probably most of the time I would just need to look after the students while they work... Well, let's see what will come of that...

Hmm, a good rest-of-the-day coming. I bought two manga books today, the newest Inuyasha and the first Fushigi Yuugi. And of course FFVIII.

Phew, it was last school day today for me. Third year students don't have school whole year but we get study leave to prepare ourselves and study for the final exams. ^^ So, we decorated the school (which we actually did yesterday after the school): we had covered the clocks with plastic bags, covered mirrors with cupboard, attached made up tabloid highlights about the teachers on the walls etc. We had comics theme, we dressed up. I was one of the Beagle Boys, two other girls were those too and we had even a prison where to sit, lol... There were for example Minnie Mouse, Little My (from Moomins), guys from DragonBall, Tex Willer etc... quite fine collection. ^^
Then we got to tease the teachers, muhahhaaa... we had comic quiz for them and then they had to play Little Riding Hood (this was fun because some of the teachers really acted there making it funny). And there was also funny thing: the teachers were in pairs. There were notes where was written two bodyparts, for example hand and knee, and then they had to attach those (one teacher's hand, the other's knee). Then take new note and try to attach as many bodyparts as possible. xD It was hilarious to watch.
Then we had ride on the lorry's platform (yes, there were sides!) around the center. Lastly we all went to the pizzeria. ^^ And now I'm at home. I'm bit tired, I slept only about 5 hours last night but I'm fine. I will of course meet my school buddies during the exams and on the graduation day but I'm already missing Jutta and some others too. And I won't probably much see Jutta anymore because she's not from Ruukki, she will probably go home to Kuhmo (she has rented appartment here yes but now she will probably go home.). Sniff. I should text message her and ask her MSN account, so I could talk with her sometimes.

Oh, I should start to study for final exams soon. Not really interested, lol.
